How do I add an avatar to my profile?

First you'll need somewhere to host your avatar image. Any online photo hosting site will do. These instructions are for images hosted on Photobucket, but they'll be similar for other services.

NB: Your avatar must not be more than 100 pixels wide or 100 pixels high.

Once you've uploaded your image to PhotoBucket you need to copy it's address (url).

The url you need to copy from PhotoBucket is the one labeled IMG Code.

Example: [IMG]http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h158/avatars/nut100.jpg[/img]

• Log-in to Under One Roof
• Click the PROFILE button
• Click Forum Profile Information
• Paste the url into the I have my own pic: box , don't save yet.
• Remove[IMG] from the front
• Remove[/img] from the end
• The example now looks like this: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h158/avatars/nut100.jpg
• Click the Change profile button.

If it's worked you should see the picture appear in your profile. It will also appear on every post you make, including those you've already posted.

Your avatar will appear under your name on your housing association or council house exchange advert and on every other post or reply you make.
